As IT Product Owner, I led the strategic redesign and modernization of the API Composition Engine (ACE) β€” a core low-code platform within Sapiens PaaS enabling users to compose, orchestrate, and manage API-driven workflows for insurance and enterprise clients.

Project Context & Objectives

ACE was a powerful internal tool with deep technical capability but lacked user-centric design, consistent workflows, and strategic direction. My goal was to transform ACE into a competitive, intuitive, and scalable integration platform, aligning it with market standards and product vision.

Key objectives included:

  • Improving usability and user flow clarity for non-technical and technical users.
  • Establishing a clear differentiation strategy through competitor research.
  • Driving a full UX/UI redesign aligned with the new brand and architecture.
  • Building stakeholder alignment across product, design, and engineering teams.

Role & Contributions

Competitor Analysis & Market Positioning

  • Conducted a deep-dive evaluation of leading integration and low-code workflow tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Workato, Zapier, Boomi) to identify differentiators, UX gaps, and strategic opportunities.
  • Produced a comprehensive competitive landscape report, which informed roadmap priorities and long-term vision.

Product Strategy & Vision Definition

  • Defined the product vision, guiding principles, and measurable success criteria for ACE.
  • Collaborated with business leadership to shape a multi-phase roadmap focusing on usability, modular design, and extensibility.
  • Established KPIs to track adoption, retention, and feature engagement.

UX/UI Redesign Leadership

  • Partnered with designers and developers to restructure user workflows, simplifying complex configuration and orchestration tasks.
  • Created detailed wireframes and prototypes, improving feature discoverability and overall user experience.
  • Oversaw the transition from legacy design components to a modern, responsive UI framework consistent with the broader Sapiens ecosystem.

Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Managed collaboration across engineering, UX, QA, and business teams, ensuring transparency and shared ownership of outcomes.
  • Facilitated product workshops and alignment sessions to synchronize development priorities with business goals.
  • Balanced competing stakeholder demands, making data-driven decisions to deliver the highest value features first.
